Hulu Brings Live TV to Your Browser

If you subscribe to Hulu's Live TV service, you can now sentinel right through your browser—no plugin or extension necessary.

Until now, Hulu only offered its $40/month Live Television set service on living room and mobile devices, but "many" users take asked for a way to watch live Television on their laptops and computers, Hulu's Head of Experience, Ben Smith, wrote in a weblog post.

"Rather than expect until we've finalized our new web feel, nosotros're opening upward a basic version," he wrote. "That means, you can catch the big game, this forenoon'south news or the premiere of This is Us wherever you are."

Playback is available on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Cyberspace Explorer eleven.

He added that this is still a "very early version of the new Hulu experience on the web," and said the company expects to make some meaning changes to it over the next few months.

"From point, click, and keyboard interactions, to responsive pages to fit all screen sizes; we are advisedly considering all of the things that make edifice a web experience unique from living room and mobile devices," Smith wrote.
